Waste shipment

Waste Shipment Regulations: REGULATION (EC) No 1013/2006 on shipments of waste.

Since 12 July 2007 Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2006 on shipments of waste has to be applied to trans boundary shipments of waste. The Regulation sets out the procedures for cross-border shipments of waste. In some cases you will need a permit. This depends on the nature of the waste that you wish to transport across the border, the method of waste processing and the country of destination. To acquire this permit you can send a notification of the proposed waste shipments to the Waste Management Department.
